Workflow: H.265/HEVC Footage to After Effects for Editing http://mts-to-aic-converter.com/edit-h-265-files-in-after-effects/ http://mts-to-aic-converter.com/edit-h-265-files-in-after-effects/#respond Sun, 04 Jan 2015 11:14:51 +0000 http://mts-to-aic-converter.com/?p=776

Continue reading »]]> Shot some H.265/HEVC recordings from some 4K HD camcorders? Then you must be a professional videographer who has high requirements of the output footage, right? For further dispose with some Windows NELs, such like the typical one, After Effects, haven’t you ever met some incompatible troubles? Import H.265/HEVC videos to After Effects? I guess we must need some video assistant because the current AE version cannot support the H.265 codec well, right?

Tips: Not only for After Effects, but also for Adobe Premiere proSony Vegas or even Avid Media Composer, etc, H.265, as the newest codec, has not been accepted by these guys yet.

H.265/HEVC—the newest codec that can bring us much than H.264
This is an unexpected but potentially path-breaking announcement. It will take several weeks or months to confirm just what advantages or virtues it offers. Presently, I’m not sure what CPU requirements will be to edit or play h.265. The Cyberlink PowerDirector editing product may already support some h.265, or it will shortly. But I know of no tests. Do you wanna get closer to H.265 transcoder?

To make H.265/HEVC friendly with After Effects, Pavtube H.265 Converter can do you a favor. If you have focused on the Pavtube studio, you won’t miss the recent upgrade version 4.8.2.0 of Pavtube Windows products. This upgraded version is specially designed for the latest codec H.265/HEVC. Cannot import H.265/HEVC recordings to After Effects? Just drop the related worries away!

Windows operation system supported: Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 2000.

Let’s see how does this H.265 to After Effects Converter for us:
Stp1.Download and install the program on our computer as soon as you get into the main interface. Directly drag your files in is not a bad idea. Or here we got other effective ways. Click the ‘Add Video’ icon on the left corner, we can import the source files individually. ‘Add from folder’ is offered for you to load your files in a complete folder.

Step 2. Cause the new version of this H.265 encoder can accept the HEVC files smoothly, it would be easier to load them in. So next for choosing suitable output for After Effect. Just drop down the output list, we suggest you to select the ‘Adobe Premiere Pro/Sony Vegas’>>’MPEG-2 (*.mpg)’ as the best one.

Notes: Form other common ones to H.265/HEVC for output? Also you can find the item you want o the output list. ‘HD Video’>>’H.265 HD Video’ is waiting there for you! Much more time it will cost you if you choose this one as your favorite.

Step 3(Optional) Set your output videos in your own style? Let’s come to the ‘Settings’ interface to see how. To keep the original quality when editing in After Effects, why not adjust the video bitrates and frame rate as default? You will find it will be more suitable for your editing.

From H.265/HEVC to MPEG-2 mpg for a further dispose in After Effects, this H.265 Video Converter did us a big favor with such easy operations. Go back to the main interface, just press on the ‘Convert’ button to finish the preparation work and get started.

Continue reading »]]> Summary: This guide here mainly can tell us how to ingest MTS from Sony camera to After Effects CC for a nice editing on the latest operation Mac Yosemite. Why not join us to know how it works if you have similar troubles.

Q:’ I have After Effects full version and recently I work the CC as my favorite. One week ago I shot some AVCHD(.mts/.m2ts) 10 sec long clips, when I play it back it lose a lot of quality. It also very choopy and will not play in fps real time. When I render this 10sec long video its come out to be 700mb and the video also very choppy and skips a lot. What I now want to get to know is how to edit is with my Premiere CC with no quality loss.’

Although Adobe announced that After Effects natively supports AVCHD importing, and mostly you can import MTS to After Effects for editing, you’ll find the movie hops back and forth, or the video quality lost when you play it as the users described below. Maybe here we can recommend you an assistant called Pavtube MTS to Premier Pro CC for Mac, which not only can offer you the best output for Premiere but also with not so much quality lost.

Let’s follow the step-by-step guide below to achieve your goal smoothly.
Copy the .mts files from HD digital camera or camcorder to your computer. Launch the Mac MTS Converter, and you may either click “Add” button to import .mts files, or directly drag and drop the files into this program. To import MTS to Adobe After Effects, I follow Adobe Premiere/ Sony Veags tab and select MPEG-2 (*.mpg) as output format. Alternative formats are WMV, AVI, MOV, DV, etc. If you’d like to combine multiple MTS files to be a single file, you can tick the checkbox “Merge into one file”.

Additionally, as the source MTS files are AVCHD MTS videos and usually with AC3 5.1 audio, you can retain the 5.1 audio by adjusting the audio codec to ac3 and bit rate to 224000bps (or above), then select 5.1 Channels in drop-down list of Channels box as it shows below.

Finally, click the ‘Convert’ button to finish your preparation and after that, start up Premiere Pro CC, follow File>.Import>> File…to load your output videos in.

Carry Projects from Avid MC to Adobe After Effects? http://mts-to-aic-converter.com/carry-avid-files-to-adobe-ae/ http://mts-to-aic-converter.com/carry-avid-files-to-adobe-ae/#respond Fri, 17 Oct 2014 08:27:02 +0000 http://mts-to-aic-converter.com/?p=682

Continue reading »]]> Hi, guys, do you know the two popular editing tools called Avid Media Composer and Adobe After Effects? Two excellent editors which have own special characteristics or common points in editing world. So someone may ask for different usage in different occasions, we may choose one as our best. Could we move projects from Avid MC to Adobe After Effects for another editing?

Here we got two solutions to the questions below, any one you can select to meet your needs.

Solution 1. via AAF-— the simplest way to transfer projects from Avid to After Effects. Some details are provided here, you can take a reference. Select the sequence you want to export and go to File > Export….

In the Export As drop down, choose AAF:

The primary reason one exports from Avid to After Effects is to add effects and filters to footage. You don’t want to transcode media or reduce its quality in any way. For this reason, I recommend you select ‘Link to (Don’t Export) Media in the Export Method drop down (as shown above). However, if you’re moving from one computer to another, then it might be a goo
d idea to select ‘Copy All Media’ instead. This way, your clips travel with the AAF file.

As far as audio is concerned, it is pointless to export multiple audio tracks to After Effects. Better to mixdown the audio to one track and export that single track if necessary. If you’re only exporting clips or portions of your sequence, then uncheck Include Audio Tracks in Sequence.

In After Effects, go to File > Import…> Pro Import After Effects…. Click on Modify Settings…:

If you are failed with method 1 above, Here we also get the method 2 instead.
Solution 2. Pavtube Video Converter Ultimate—convert any projects from Avid MC to After Effects.

Supported for any video formats output from Avid MC, we can encode them with the most compatible videos for After Effects. Load your output files from Avid MC to the program Avid to After Effects Video Converter, we can choose the suitable output format such like ‘Adobe Premiere Pro/Sony Vegas’>>’MPEG-2 (*.mpg)’, then click the ‘Convert’ button to start your conversion. Finally transfer your output projects to After Effects with ‘File’>>’Load files’…More details about the conversion you can take the following picture as a reference.

Which one do you like better? Obviously, the second one may attracts your attention with easy operation and multiple functions, am I right?
