If the video is shot in dark environment, you can even adjust it to make it brighter. Volumes also can be enlarged or reduced easily.

If you like, you can also add red-blue or red-green 3D effect to the video.
Note: Options in this section will not take effect on the clip if you want to output lossless video formats.

Step 4. Choose the right output format and convert in batch.

Switching to the conversion tab, you can create conversion tasks by clicking the “+” button. Highlight a task on the left, and you can choose the output format on the right under relative category. Clips you placed and edited on the timeline can be output into different formats in batch.

Reviews from customers of Pavtube Media Magician and Pavtube Media Magician for Mac:

1. Works well on Windows 8. Successfully transcoded a .TiVo file to MP4 format.

– D.C.

2. Runs flawlessly on Win7. It does lots of things Moviemaker can’t do, like changing brightness etc. The conversions can be very useful as well. For me it is good to have. Thanks

– Sepp

3. …The benefit of lossless trimming for me is that often I set up one or more cameras at an event and let them roll, sometimes for hours. This is done in anticipation that something interesting might occur in that camera’s field of view in the next couple of hours. Out of all those hours there might only be a few minutes I really want to keep. This results in enormous files with only a few seconds of really good footage. Ideally I wish to keep only the good bits and delete the rest but so far I’ve found no way to extract the bits I want to keep and delete the rest without any loss of video quality…

– Doug Thompson

4. Installed fine on Mac 10.7 and Win 7 ultimate 64.

– Beth

5. Pavtube Media Magican! Perfect for my use. I shot movie of my younger daughter few years ago. And with today I succeed to take still pictures out of the movie. And same time I edited mistakes out of the movie. I highly recommend it for Mac users!

– Jari, Lahti, Finland

6. Very nice program. I can now leave my PC and some of the editing software I’ve purchased over the years and now use my Mac with Media Magician. I just converted a bunch of Thanksgiving and Christmas videos and added some cool effects as well.

– Trey, Dallas, Texas

7. A very good program, I was able to import an AVI file, crop it to size, then imported an MP4 file, added the two files together play them without rendering and exported to an MKV file within minutes. Highly recommended.

Trim/Cut and Convert Gopro MP4 files to MOV, AVI, WMV etc. http://mts-to-aic-converter.com/trim-cut-convert-gopro-mp4-files-to-mov-avi-wmv/ http://mts-to-aic-converter.com/trim-cut-convert-gopro-mp4-files-to-mov-avi-wmv/#respond Tue, 05 Mar 2013 10:34:53 +0000 http://mts-to-aic-converter.com/?p=479

Continue reading »]]> Tricks for Trimming/Cutting and Converting Gopro MP4 files to MOV, AVI, WMV etc. for importing to Avid Media Composer, Sony Vegas, Adobe Premiere, Pinnacle Studio, Windows Movie Maker etc. editing or playing on iPad, iPhone, Apple TV 3, PS3, Android devices, Windows 8 devices, etc.

As the best “wearable” adventure video/photography camera, the new GoPro Hero 3 continues the legendary line with three new models. Now the entry-level White Edition supports 5MP still capture with 3 fps burst and 30fps 1080p video, the middle-range Silver Edition spots 11MP stills with 10fps burst, and the premiere model the Black Edition features a 12MP camera that can shoot 4K video at 12fps or 1080p video at up to 60 fps.

GoPro Hero 3 records video in H.264 and saves footage as .mp4, which is a good streaming media format for sharing with iPad, Android devices and posting to YouTube. There’s a problem though. When you wear a Gopro camera and let it roll for an hour, it results in enormous files with only a few minutes of really good footage that you really want to keep, so you may need to import the Gopro MP4 video to Windows Movie Maker or other editing app for rough cutting and special effects, while the editing app is likely to reject the Gopro .MP4 because it’s not a editing-friendly format.

Here I’d recommend Pavtube Media Magician to anyone that is seeking for an easy solution to keep only the good bits and delete the rest from Gopro .mp4 video. This is not a substitute for full-featured video editing software if your goal is professional looking videos. If you’re just doing home movies of summer vacation for the family, and you want to take an hour’s footage and extract only five minutes’ worth for fun, this makes it very quick and easy to do that. It also does a “conversion” and lets you exports editing-friendly format for Windows Movie Maker, Adobe Premiere, Sony Vegas, etc. Below is a short guide showing you how to cut out junks from Gopro .mp4 and export AVI, WMV, MOV, etc video.

Get Media Magician | Get Media Magician for Mac

How to Trim/Cut and Convert Gopro MP4 files to MOV, AVI, WMV, etc.?

Step 1. Click on the Import file icon, and select “Import from folder”, browse to the folder that you save the Gopro recordings.

Step 2. Drag and drop video clips to timeline and extract key frames. Here you can remove unwanted clips and trim out unwanted frames by frame-accurate. Also, you may trim, cut, delete, rearrange order, and merge videos.

1. Time Display Controller: Move your mouse cursor on timeline, the opposite time point will be displayed here. Once you entered a time point into the time display box and click enter, the Preview Window and Timeline will switch to the frame of this time point. This helps to locate to the accurate frame that you want.

2. Zoom in and Zoom out: Drag the bar on top-right of timeline to Zoom in or out for better view.

3. Preview: Highlight a clip on timeline and click Play button, you can preview. Double click on a clip can also begin preview.

4. Trim: Put your cursor to the start or end point of a clip on timeline until it changes to trimmer. Drag the trimmer and you can trim off unwanted starting or ending.

5. Cut: Drag the pointer to the right place; Put your cursor to process bar under preview window and select the right frame; Click the Scissors button and you can cut the clip. And then you can rearrange order or delete.

6. Delete: Highlight the unwanted clip on timeline, and click Delete button. You can also delete it with right-click menu.

7. Rearrange order: Drag and hold a clip to the right place until the place line shows. Drop the clip and it will be placed right there.

8. Merge & join: All files placed on timeline will be output as one file. So if you want to merge and join several clips, just drag them to timeline in right order.

On the preview window, you can use Frame Selection Controller to seek to the corresponding frame of the current image, or seek the previous frame/next frame, which helps to locate frames accurately.

Step 3. Click the Output button on the top and switch it to output interface.

Here you can set common video format like AVI, MKV, MP4, MOV, MPG, etc as well as intermediate codec for non-linear video editing apps. Decide your output format, choose it, and then click on the + sign to add it as a conversion task.

Step 4. Avid MC Workflow: Can Avid split BPAV .MP4 files from Sony PMW-EX3 http://mts-to-aic-converter.com/can-avid-split-bpav-mp4-files-from-sony-pmw-ex3/ http://mts-to-aic-converter.com/can-avid-split-bpav-mp4-files-from-sony-pmw-ex3/#respond Wed, 20 Feb 2013 10:39:11 +0000 http://mts-to-aic-converter.com/?p=471

Continue reading »]]> The Sony PMW-EX3 is a flash-memory based high definition camcorder capable of a variety of frame rates and resolutions using Sony’s new XDCAM-EX intraframe codec. A “big-brother” to the PMW-EX1, the PMW-EX3 ups the ante by providing an interchangeable lens mount. The mount allows users to put a variety of professional lenses on the camera, including 1/2″ and 2/3″ bayonet mounts (with optional adapter).

Enhancing both usability and workflow efficiency, the PMW-EX3 has an extensive set of features that push the boundaries of traditional handheld cameras, including a continuous record time of up to 140 minutes! Whether shooting in 720p, 1080i, or 1080p modes, the PMW-EX3 has it all covered. Its bevy of output settings lets users take advantage of fast and slow motion, as well as popular frame rates such as the “film-like” 24p mode.

XDCAM EX is a variant of Sony’s popular XDCAM HD codec, which has become a benchmark for affordable non-linear professional acquisition. Through the use of flash-based memory, the PMW-EX3 can take advantage of variable bit rate (VBR) recording. Its recordings are in .MP4 format.

Remux/Repack Canon 1080i h.264 M2TS to MKV container without recoding http://mts-to-aic-converter.com/remux-canon-1080i-h264-m2ts-to-mkv-container-without-recoding/ http://mts-to-aic-converter.com/remux-canon-1080i-h264-m2ts-to-mkv-container-without-recoding/#respond Mon, 18 Feb 2013 10:06:03 +0000 http://mts-to-aic-converter.com/?p=468

Continue reading »]]> “Can any MTS/M2TS Converter repack (remux) Canon 1080i 50 Hz h.264 M2TS-container file to h.264 MKV-container (or MP4-container) file with no recoding (no conversation) – saving the original video stream? The M2TS file format is a real pain. It is touted as HDTV Friendly, but in fact my HDTV will play just about any video file format (directly from an SDHC memory card) except M2TS!! I’ve tried a few MTS/M2TS Converter software, all of them take long time (some files even hours) to convert Canon M2TS, and export MKV video with image loss! I want fast packing and the original quality. Anyone know a best app to remux Canon M2TS to MKV? If possible, I’d like to join some M2TS clips as well….”

You surely want to convert camera video files with no image loss. Then, what you should do is “rewrap” files with Pavtube Media Magician. AVCHD MTS and M2TS files can simply be remixed using this app. I’ve remuxed tons of 1080i Canon MTS files just fine to MKV. And here’s a short guide of how I did.

Guide: Repack h.264 M2TS to MKV container without recoding

1. Import M2TS from Canon Camera or local archive.

Connect the Canon camera with your PC and run Pavtube Media Magician. This camcorder companion tool will detect your camera automatically and ask “Camcorder is connected. Are you ready to launch wizard now?” Click “Yes” to confirm. In the mean time, you are allowed to backup MTS footage directly from camera to local computer. Also, you can import Canon 1080i h.264 M2TS from local archive as well.

2. Drag and drop Canon M2TS video to timeline for organizing/merging/joining.

In timeline you can remove unwanted .M2TS clips, trim out unwanted frames from specific clip by frame-accurate, and put them into the right order for merging M2TS file while remuxing M2TS to MKV.

3. Set lossless remux mode for exporting M2TS video

Choose “Output” in the main interface.

Then switch to “Lossless” > “original” or “Lossless” > “MKV” so as to set Media Magician to remux M2TS to MKV without encoding.

4. Remux M2TS videos to MKV with no conversion Finally press the “+” sign to add the task and click the triangle sign to begin repacking MTS/M2TS/TOD/MOD to MKV with no recoding/recompression

If you’re working on Mac, download Media Magician for Mac instead. There’s another good feature for Mac users – when you have pain importing MTS/M2TS/TOD/MOD/MXF video to iMovie or Final Cut Pro, you can use the app to export Apple Intermediate Codec or Apple ProRes 422 video for natural editing.

Cut and Join, Convert Panasonic P2 AG-HVX200/AJ-HPX3000 1080/60i MXF for FCP 6/7/X Importing, Editing http://mts-to-aic-converter.com/cut-join-panasonic-p2-mxf-for-fcp/ http://mts-to-aic-converter.com/cut-join-panasonic-p2-mxf-for-fcp/#respond Fri, 01 Feb 2013 08:39:06 +0000 http://mts-to-aic-converter.com/?p=467

Continue reading »]]> “I have a Panasonic P2 AG-HVX200 camcorder which records MXF footages, and I use L&T to load videos to FCP on Mac Mountain Lion 10.8. This way is easy to import but it is not good for editing, because it takes long time to render after the importing. How can I shorten the process? Is there a way to import Panasonic P2 MXF to Final Cut Pro without rendering? Thanks for help”.

Panasonic AJ-HPX3000 Panasonic’s top of the line camera is a 1920×1080, 10-bit 4:2:2 color sampling beauty. It uses a 2.2 million pixel 3-CCD block and records using the new AVC-intra codec to capture true native 1080p images at 24p, 25p & 30p frame rates. This codec, thanks to a low compression ratio at a video bit rate of 100 Mbps (1080/59.94i, 720/59.94p) and the easy-to-edit intra-frame compression system, is suitable for recording fast-moving subjects with no motion artifacts other than motion blur. However, the P2 MXF does not seem to work in Final Cut Pro well. Although it is reported that the “log and transfer” can help import the MXF files, stored onto the P2 card, actually there still exists some problems causing error when importing AG-HVX200 1080/60i MXF to FCP 6/7/X. A better workflow is to convert Panasonic AG-HVX200 1080/60i MXF to Apple ProRes 422 first, as it is the best codec for FCP editing. Below is the simple step-by-step guide for P2 camcorder users to keep and maintain 1080/50 mbps or 100 mbps from Panasonic AG-HVX200/AJ-HPX3000 MXF to Apple ProRes for FCP on iMac/MacBook Pro with Mac OS X, Leopard, Snow Leopard, Lion, Mountain Lion.

Now I’d like to merge multiple Sony HDR-TD10 .MTS without losing quality, so that I can stream the result AVCHD footage smoothly over Wi-Fi to PS3 in full HD quality. The HDR-TD10 also shoots in 3D mode, so I’d prefer some tool that let me merge 3D .mts video as well. I’m working on iMac with OS X Mountain Lion. Thanks. ”

How to Edit Panasonic Lumix GH3 1080/50p AVCHD recordings with Avid Media Composer http://mts-to-aic-converter.com/edit-panasonic-gh3-1080-50p-avchd-with-avid/ http://mts-to-aic-converter.com/edit-panasonic-gh3-1080-50p-avchd-with-avid/#comments Tue, 29 Jan 2013 05:49:48 +0000 http://mts-to-aic-converter.com/?p=456

Continue reading »]]> Have you ever met the similar issue? And do you know the reason? Have you find what is the best way to solved the problem and get Panasonic GH3 50p AVCHD to Avid Media Composer? The Media Magician will help you.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH3 Reviews

They are really pushing the combination high-quality still and video in one camera. They have really helped their cause by adding a headphone jack for monitoring to the camera along with a flip-out 3-inch LCD screen. This is the cheapest camera available to offer this feature.

The Panasonic GH3 once again focuses on video as much as photo performance. From the specs we can see that the new Lumix DSLR records at much higher bitrate video. AVCHD capture is now at up to 1080/50p. However, the big news is a QuickTime mode that records at 1080/24p, 1080/25p or 720/50p using an unusually high 72Mbit/s bit rate and all-intra compression. Unlike normal AVC compression, this describes each frame from scratch rather than updating areas that have changes since the last frame. It should give less compression artifacts than the heavily compressed AVCHD output from the GH2, particularly for fast-moving scenes. QuickTime 1080/50p capture is at 50Mbit/s, and while it doesn’t use all-intra compression, it should still give better results than the GH2’s 24Mbit/s maximum bit rate. It supports several video recording formats:

 • H.264 MOV: [Full HD] 1,920 x 1,080, 50p, 25p, 24p; [HD] 1,280 x 720, 50p
 • AVCHD (MTS/M2TS): [Full HD] 1,920 x 1,080 50p/50i/24p
 • MP4: [Full HD] 1080 25p; [HD] 720 25p; [VGA] 480 25p

The 1080/50p shooting mode brings Full HD 1920x1080p video with best possible quality, but it could be a problem if you’re working AVCHD footage in Avid Media Composer. Avid does not support the 50p footage. So far I am still not able to import the 1080/50p from my Panasonic DHC-TM900. But still the 50i AVCHD is very good to see on a 42 inch plasma screen.

Here’s a solution for importing 1080/50p to Avid with the help of 3rd-party app Pavtube Media Magician for Avid, a nice camcorder assistant manager and AVCHD editor. When serving as an intermediate decoder, the software can convert 1080/50p AVCHD .mts/.m2ts video into Avid DNxHD .mov format, which is naturally supported by Avid Media Composer.

How to get Panasonic GH3 1080/50p video into Avid DNxHD .mov format?

Step 1: Import AVCHD clips from Panasonic GH3 to Media Magician.

Connect your camera with your PC and launch Pavtube Media Magician for Windows (If you work on OS X, get Media Magician for Mac). The app will automatically detect your camera and ask “Camcorder is connected. Are you ready to launch wizard now?” Click “Yes” to confirm. Select the 1080/50p video files you’d like to import to AVID, and then press “Start” to import AVCHD to Media Magician library.

Step 2: Organize and edit Panasonic GH3 1080/50p videos in timeline.

Drag and drop the AVCHD videos to timeline for editing from library. Here you can remove unwanted .mts/.m2ts clips, trim out unwanted frames from specific clip by frame-accurate, and put them into the right order for merging. Use the scissor icon to do frames trimming.

Step 3: Choose “Output” on the top of main interface to switch it to output interface.

In output interface you can set intermediate codec for editing software as well as common video format (AVI, MKV, MP4, MOV, MPG, etc) for compressing AVCHD.

Step 4: Choose Avid DNxHD codec as output format.

For importing Panasonic GH3 1080/50p video to AVID, follow the steps to set Avid DNxHD preset:

1. Move your mouse to “Editor”, click on the tab.
2. Select “Avid Studio” group.
3. The default output format for AVID is “Avid DNxHD 720p(*.mov)”. To export 1080p full HD video, just select the “Avid DNxHD 1080p(*.mov)”from the drop-down list of “Format” bar. Set higher bitrate for better quality if necessary.

Step 5: Convert Panasonic GH3 1080/50p videos and export best format for AVID Studio

Press the plus sign (+) to add task for conversion. Select the task(s) and click on the triangle sign to start encoding Panasonic GH3 1080/50p videos to Avid DNxHD MOV.

After conversion you can refer to this post: How to Import Media contents to Avid Media Composer naturally without rendering/encoding.
