Hi guys, have you met the trouble of importing videos from one editing tool to another? With the non-native video formats they output we can’t easily work them together. Just as one friend said like this:
I have a project that is edited in FINAL CUT PRO 7, PRORES 422 (HQ). Turns out that (surprise!) i have to delivery everything in DNxHD 145. I tried to convert using Compressor, MPEG Stream and Final Cut with custom settings (i installed AVID and got the DNxHD codecs in FinalCut). All of these options messed with my chroma levels. The black is not black, the green is “radioactive”… even when i import the resulted DNxHD in AVID, the scope monitor looks messed. Any solutions to me?’
Surely you can’t avoid the limitation of different editing software, however, it is unnecessary to worry about it. Plan to edit your ProRes files form FCP to Avid Media Composer in compatible formats DNxHD .mov. FCP to Avid MC Video Converter for Mac may remove your worries.

Download the program from the official website and launch it correctly, From the main interface, tap the ‘Add video’ or ‘Add from folder’ to load your files. This product can accept various video formats, including ProRes codec files output by FCP, so for Avid Media Composer, what should we do the next? For advanced users, you can control output video quality by setting resolution, bitrates and frame rate in ‘Settings’, For preserving 5.1 channels surround sound, set audio channels to ‘5.1 channels’ instead of Stereo.
